Subject:Got lucky? I hope!

The VR-760 (V-Combo) I ordered late Friday afternoon PDT
in "Warehouse resealed" condition.. shipped today from Same Day
Music. They say their Warehouse resealed is a better buy than 'Blem'
gear, mainly customer returns with all intact and no damage - plus
warrantee. I've been trying to find one of these for a few weeks.
These was just a little window of time when both Same Day and ZZounds
showed the VR-760 Warehouse Resealed with 1 left. I ordered one from
each and not too long after, they were gone from both sites. I called
their customer service to see what was up = credit department no
workee on weekend, have to wait until Monday.

So mid-day Monday, I get a call supposedly from Same Day's 'credit
department' with the female caller saying they had to verify some
info that the bank might want to double check, due to unusual
transactions: How old am I? What's the last 4 numbers of my Social
Security number? Do I know the following people (reads list)? What
city is this street address in (gives a street address I last lived
at about ten years ago)? Fooey! At this point I told her, "I don't
think you have anything to do with Same Day Music; you don't need
information like this to process my order".. and slammed the phone
down. Then naturally I call Same Day Music. Their rep transfers me to
their credit department, and I'm talking to some nice credit rep - it
is one of their random credit per transaction checklists, and there's
a note stopping my order because I hung up on Ms. Too-many-questions!
AAAAGH. So I tell him the story about the two orders, hmm.. seems
they share a warehouse with ZZounds and the same inventory tracking
and shipping department! Mr. Nice credit guy says okay we will
process the one order per Same Day that was on hold, but they really
don't have another one, that one was it, so he will cancel the
Zzounds order - I'm saying NO NO NO what if they have another one, I
can sell it to players I know online???. He says nope, has to cancel
it. So I ask how long before the Same Day VR-760 shows up in my email
as approved then shipped? He says oh about 15 minutes when the next
batch of credit orders is processed, hmm.. = Thank you for calling
Same Day, have a nice day. Okay. I take a look on my computer a few
hours later = nothing, so I figure forget it. But the next time I
boot up some hours later, there it was - approved, then shipped
(which means scanned into the shipping system). So it seems I am
getting a "Warehouse resealed" VR-760 with warrantee. I'm hopeful
this is really the proclaimed better quality than when they sell
a 'Blem' and wonder if the warehose guys have a general tech out
there that really knows how to check most things out??? When that
warrantee is in my hand I'm filling it out and mailing it like NOW.
Roland USA is about 80 miles from me. Aside from the shipping hassle
and cost, my X7 which had a couple of factory service bulletins that
Roland said they would fix free, after Roland had it in hand - got
the red carpet, gold star level treatment. Not only did they fix the
two service bulletin items, I got a new motherboard, new wiring
harness, latest umpteen-track sample recording upgrade software
installed. It was like a new board when I got it back - free
shipping. In conclusion, I expect the same kind of service if there's
any little buggies in this V-Combo. 'Whew' end of story #:^7 HEY YOU
KIDS!!!GET OFF MY LAWN!!!
