Subject:Volume ( Drums etc.)

On many of the drum gigs I do ( I do both drums and keys ) the idea is
starting to become how to REDUCE the volume of the drums and cymbals.

I have been playing many gigs using brushes, sticks made of split bamboo,
and paper treated drum heads. I love doing quieter gigs WITHOUT sacrificing
energy or intensity.

When I gig with my clone rig on keyboards , I use a leslie 860 or
occasionally the 860 stacked on a 145. Occasionally I am guilty of not knowing how
loud I am getting and have to be careful, since I am relatively new to gigging
on keyboards. Leslies sometimes seem to project more loudly then they seem to
sound at close range....particularly when you are having fun!
