Subject:Re: Voce V5 multi-timbral mode
Hi Jerry,
You send a patch message (0-6) on the lower manual channel. In your example, if the V5 is on CH3 in multitimbral mode, you must send a Program Change message on CH4. Program Change messages on CH3 are for the upper manual only; messages on CH5 are for pedals only.
Alternatively, you can send the registration as 9 separate drawbars on CH4 as MIDI Control Change (CC) messages:
CC#12 = 16'
CC#13 = 5-1/3'
CC#14 = 8'
...
CC#19 = 1-1/3'
CC#20 = 1'
The trip points for the 0-8 value of each drawbar are roughly divided evenly across the 0-127 range of the CC.
In other words, you do exactly what the upper manual requires, but NOT on the upper manual's MIDI channel.
Regards,
-BW
