You're right, there are a LOT of choices available to you. The only
limiting factor is your budget!

If you liked the Roland VK-8, a less expensive option would be to
get their VK-8M module. You could control it from the RD-170 for
sure, or possibly from the JX-3P. In fact, the RD-170 would allow
you to set up splits, where you had the upper manual to the right,
and the lower manual to the left. The only awkward thing is that
you'd be playing organ tones on a weighted keyboard. That may or may
not be important to you.
