Subject:Voce V5 multi-timbral mode
Hello to anyone gracious enough to respond to this post,
I am posting this question in the hope I can get some
help/advice/information from someone about the Voce V5.
I have a Voce V5 and I have read the user's manual, but I am still
unsuccessful at getting the V5 to work in 'multi-timbral mode'.
I have the rear panel 'slide' switch set to multi mode and the MIDI
channel selector set to channel 3. (My slide switch broke when I
tried to set it -the 'sticking-out' part of the switch snapped off -
but I am using a sharp pin to move the slider back and forth and it
seems to work).
I am trying to get 'upper manual' out of channel 3 and 'lower
manual' out of channel 4. My controller is a Korg 01W/FD. I am using
a 'combi' patch to split the keyboard range from the controller,
sending the two octaves on the left hand side of the keyboard to
channel 4 and the 3 octaves on the right hand side to channel 3.
Th Korg combi patch also transposes the left hand range up two
octaves. As it is, I get NO sound out of channel 4.
One thing I do not understand at all is how to set a
registration/patch/preset for the lower manual. This is covered
briefly in the manual discussion of the 'split' mode, but not at all
in the discussion of the multi-timbral mode. How does the lower
manual 'know' which preset/registration to use.
Can you help me figure this out?? Have I described my setup
sufficiently and stated my question and problem understandably??
Any assistance that I can get will be greatly appreciated.
