The amount of overdrive he has going would definitely affect the
harmonic content such that using his same exact drawbar setting clean
would sound vastly different ... with that being said, I do agree
it's a difficult registration to pin down.
At least you got as far as learning the solo, I never got past the
opening smear because I was to busy trying to nail his tone. Are you
playing it as a right handed solo or do you need both hands? Geez,
wish I could get my band to do tunes like that ....
