Hey Kaius,
Don't know about B4 yet, but I may very well move into VST's very soon. As for the Pro3t vs the 2101, the 2101 is the bomb. KILLER! You need to mic the 2101 and you can take the lower rotor out and feed that to the PA if you don't run it into an amp and mic that. You don't "need" a Speakeasy with the 2101, but boy oh boy, if you have one, you'll never go without it. I use a Speakeasy with mine, but wouldn't hesitate to go without it if I had to. I auditioned the 2101 w/o a Speakeasy using my Electro and immediately fell in love with it. When I heard my XK3 through it, I was hooked.

Hi folks... I need some opinion about alot of things... But first of
all let me congratulate this fantastic forum!
My idea his to run B4 in a Muse Research Receptor or a Xpc, with
a decent rotary speaker and a double waterfall keyboard. I plan to
expand this set in the future with pedals...
My goal is maximum portability with a good and fair decent emulation
to play live in jazz, fusion, prog gigs...
does the rotary speaker emulation of b4 cut it with a stereo keyboard
amp? ( or two mono combos? )
if not, what is best? a leslie2101 or a pro3tm with a stereo combo
or a bass combo?( this way I could use the combo for the other synths)
how I feed a leslie 2101 to the P.A.? I have to mike it? if not ..
can I have treble and bass rotor emulation in the PA or studio? (
same question apllies to the pro3tm, except the "miking" issue )
Can I use the stationary L+R with other synths? how? will it degrade
the sound quality?
Do I need a tube preamp in leslie 2101? ( speakeasy?)
Does the pro3tm has a bypass or some kind of stationary "preset" ?
Does anyone uses songworks rotarywave with hammond clones?
( my ideia is to have a good emulation of a rotary speaker and normal
monitoring of other synths. example: Kbr3d, but it is to damm heavy,
cumbersome and a little bit expensive :P perhaps a kp100s, but im
affraid of loosing bass... )
about keyboard controller:
besides the d3 doepfer system, is there other options?
and what about sandblast the lips of a Maudio 61es?
and the B4cp controller ( cheaper and better than the B4d )
http://www.midiboutique.com/
does the speakeasy preamps make a huge difference with the b4?
and final question:
is B4 the best Vsti software clone?
Many thanks and sorry for a gazzilion and perhaps naive questions. I live in portugal
and cant test most of this gear...
thanks once again and keep up the good work!
