Subject:Re: OT: Mixer Suggestion
Steve,
I use a Rane SM82 that I bought on E-Bay for about $75 and love it!
I also use a Rane ME15B EQ that I bought on E-Bay for $50 and love it too.
Both are noise-less, are one U each of rack space and work great.

Hey All,
Sorry for the OT, but can anyone recommend a good quality mixer, rack
mount preferably? I've been using a Rolls RM65B and have pretty much
had it with it. One of the channels is dead as is one of the main
outputs intermittently. Also, I never noticed how noisy it really was
until I recently did a couple high profile gigs (one was opening for
Michael McDonald!)... kind of embarrassing.
Anyway, anybody familiar with Rane's stuff? I know Mackies have a good
rep, but no rack mount mixers. I'm leery now of the Rolls and
Behringer 'economy' mixers that try to stuff so much into a single rack
space unit. All I really need is 2 stereo inputs, 2 mic inputs,
individual channel level control, and stereo sends to FOH.
TIA,
Steve
