Subject:Re: Leslie 860 Rebuild

Maybe use a new 145/147 amp from either Speakeasy or Goff and mount it in a stand alone cabinet and make an inter-connect cable to go between the amp and cabinet. I did this years ago and it took a fair amount of weight out of the Leslie cabinet. Still kept the nice tube Leslie sound and made carrying the beast a little bit easier. I did this mod to a 145, but it would be easy to do to just about any model. A project like this does require some woodworking and electronic skills, as you would need to build the amp cabinet and be able to construct the inter-connect cable. If you need help and live close to me I would love to get involved in a project like this! I'm always building something!

would anyone have a suggestion for a tube amp in the 40 watt range?
