I wonder if the leslie amp or preamp is responsible for maintaining
your low end when your pedal is pulled back? For example, take a low-
powered radio or sound system-- sounds ok at low to moderate volume,
bass and all. Then turn it up loud, it gets loud and grungy (or ugly)
and the bass is significantly lower or lost in the muddy mess of being
loud. Our B3 does that quite a bit, which makes it hard for me to play
pedals, when our bass player is out; I generally have to keep the first
2 drawbars at 0, to maintain some balance. I haven't really studied
the schematics of the preamp, so I could be missing something in there
somewhere as well.
