I agree with everything that you said -- if you take the last four words out of the paragraph. I can't come up with a good reason for Apple to ignore an extremely large target market for Logic. In fact, the only plausible ones are: 1) an attempt to push Microsoft out of the musical software business, or 2) a lack of expertise in the PC/Windows area. Neither of these is a "very good reason." The first reason seems like too little, too late. Like it or not, Microsoft isn't going anywhere, and refusing to serve the user base isn't likely to force millions of long-time PC users to convert to Macs.

And if the Logic programming team is lacking in Windows expertise, that can be changed by training or hiring. If EVB3 is the best Hammond emulation around, but never again to be produced in a Windows version, the end result is that it's simply a shame.
