For what it's worth, the Doepfer didn't come with a manual at all, and there was no room for misinterpretation!!!!

FWIW, the CME manual's English, written in China, is pretty bad. The Keystation manual, OTOH, was written by native English speakers, and is perhaps the worst owner's manual I've ever read. :-(
