It is true.
People want them because they are cheap, solid, and feel good.
Mostly, probably, because they are cheap!!!
I could see having one to use with the same rig all of the time, and
not really needing multiple patches. I don't know what capabilities
it has within one patch, but if you can switch midi channels easily
and maybe assign different CC#'s to the sliders per midi channel it
would do everything I personally would need it to.
