I don't think B4 II is actually out yet, but regardless, I'm running B4 with the drawbar controller. The Hammond tones in it are fantastic. For a "standalone" clone (yeah, with all the 'accessories' I've got laying around right now, standalone seems to be an oxymoron), it definitely outperforms the XK3 (sans leslie) and Electro. The sweetest Hammond I ever played was the A100 I recorded with in LA; it was used on hundreds of sessions, was sort of quirky, but had that gorgeous, girthy, unclean sound. The B4 will do it. (My Electro never could, and the XK3 can to a point, but only to a point.) You can tweak the leslie sim, the amount of percussion, drive, just about anything you need, make it clean, sweet, dirty, nasty, whatever. I am very happy with it. I haven't even incorporated the Drawbar unit yet; I'm trying to learn the Doepfer, the Muse, and the software right now, and have enough of a learning curve as it is.

One thing that's weird though: you can put 2 foot switches into the drawbar unit, but they don't change leslie speed (at least out of the box); they freakin enable vib/chorus, and perc on off!!!
(WHAT IS THAT ABOUT?)

Is the B4 gonna do the job for you for Hammond tones compared with the XK3 and Electro? You got all the synths going on though! How amazing to suddenly own a "CS80", a "Prophet 5" a "Minimoog", an "Odyessy" and banks of "Mellotron" sounds with effects built right in and complete editing of patches. Wow! No wonder you are psyched.....Please keep sending info. Thanks,
Norm
