Subject:Re: CX-3 into a Leslie??? Possible??

Yes, turn the CX-3's Leslie sim off (unless you want a really wild sounding tone!), plug a standard 1/4" instrument cable from the output of your CX-3 to the Speakeasy (or any other Leslie preamp), then Leslie 6 pin cable to your Leslie.

If I wanted to go with an external Leslie (or equivalent) rotating speaker system with my CX-3, do I just turn the Leslie effect OFF on the CX-3? Do I then make a single 1/4-inch connection to the Speakeasy? I guess I need the Speakeasy 101 course.

You came to the right place! For CWSG: CX3->Leslie is a "non-
problem" : ) There're several different ways to do it - just depends on
how much money you want to/are able to spend. A lot of the used gear
eBay stuff will do the job for less money, but you have to choose
between varying opinions of which is best. A basic Speakeasy preamp to
fit your choice of Leslie is probably the "best" way to go. I wouldn't
choose a SE preamp for all the top clones, but the CX3/Speakeasy
are "hand-in-glove" made for each other and would be my choice, $550-600
(?) new and cheaper used.
