Nord Waiters and Wanters and Interested Parties,

I had one of the first ones here on LI,NY. Ordered it as a special order through GC.
Waited 2 1/2 months.

Brought it home, fired it up and guess what....LCD flickering... thought it was the
OP system loading. NOOOOOO...... flickered some more then went dead, than back on then dead then on for a frakin hour of my first session with it. NOT GOOD NORD....

It made me very A-NORD to say the least.

Then the piano sound ..... well....well

took it to a gig with the band and.......well...... the upper mid's a re a big problem...it's been said before...then the LCD off, on , off ,on.......sucked! Cut- through the guitar....
was a NO--GO!!!! Piano seems compressed and "distant"........ though I thought it was good for "Roots" music and new age in non sound heavy setting (loud guitars)......it was different in not an unpleasent way but notgood in a louder amplified setting. Organ was very good but I think the Korg is better! The Nord organ has an annoying distortition to it I thought! The ramp up time is wrong!

then the coup-de-GRASS....... picked it up to put back in my case after the gig was over and

$3000 Rain Stick! Yep folks.... it really turned out to be a 3000K RAIN Stick....

screw or fitting got loose...... 1st time out of the gate NOT GOOD.....

This made me very very A-NORD!

IT was History at that point and I finally bought a Roland 700sx......

can anybody say quality control, design and utility

It's not swedish meatballs...... and the organ in the sx is pretty good.....
