Subject:Re: CX-3 Revision Identification
Hi Lou,
>At this point I am wondering if the CX-3 that is for sale has Version 2 firmware or not. Is that identified somehow on the display when the unit is turned on? I will try to check that out since folks say Version 2 is much nicer.
The easiest way to tell is to watch the display when it boots up. If the display just says, "KORG CX-3" and then goes to preset A-1, it's v1.x firmware.
If the display does a little drawbar animation along with the "CX-3", then it's v2.01 firmware.
There are other things that you can double-check by going into Edit mode on any preset:
- If there is a setting for DB LevelCurve with choices of Bright and Mellow, it's v2.
- If there's a Noise Level parameter in the settings, then it's v2.
- If the Amp section includes a Speaker Simulation option, then it's v2.
- If there is a Dark option in the reverb settings, then it's v2.
Regards,
-BW
