How about our clone as well as vintage Hammond preferences as to "how we would like them to sound"?

I had a tough time learning to like some things about my XK-3 at first. I liked it much better after I added the expression pedal. Also better after some alterations to the Lelsie simm parameters. I thing the biggest boost was to discover that the use of the different C/V settings IMO tended to sometimes be more useable if not used with "fast" leslie.

With a VK-7 I had C3 was not useable for me.

With my vintage C 3 just the two Leslies is animation enough for me and don't "require" C/V.

With the Vk-7 I felt the sim was good on its own sound merits whether you consider it "authentic" or not.

I will not say I like the XK-3 better than the vintage C3 but part of it is the ergonomics of the manuals and the comfort of the pedalboard compared to a PK-5 pedal unit.

My experience also suggests that since the XK-3 in essence would be closer to what a new TG would put out- it is therefore necessary to adjust registrations to cope.

That would be less true if I were using a Leslie with the XK-3 but the internal sim can provide some very useable sound.
