Subject:Re: OT: KORG TR61
If your referring to the Korg Triton 61, yes, I have. I bought it earlier this year as a "light" keyboard to gig with for my son's theatre production shows. I use it mainly for the synth and string sounds. It has a somewhat decent clav/wurli/rhodes sound(s).
It's great little rig, but if your looking for the true Hammond "sound" you won't find it there at all. The tonewheel sounds sound really cool stereo, but that's where it ends. It's usefulness as a clone in a live gig situation, IMO, is pretty weak.
It doesn't have piano action at all, so if you need that then the 61 is not for you. It's also General Midi based which I didn't check out before I bought it, but I still plan on keeping it.
Overall, decent for the price and what you get. I like it!
