Yeah, T.. I'm sure you're right about the WS550 *I wouldn't want anyone
injuring themselves from a PA cab falling on them either - Aah what an
awful thought! When I first got mine, I loaned it to the guitar
player's teen kid's garage band to put one of their huge old Peavey
cabinets on, next had it on a stage with another ancient Fender monster
cab at an outdoor festival. With the four legs sticking out more or
less like a rectangle, no problem. But when I said okay that's enough
and tried to use it with my keyboards, it was just too big = I'm not a
88 key authentic hammer-action piano player. I need one size smaller
and see I should have probably got the WS540 instead per Robert's
suggestion. My gear is all Fantom, VK8, Electro, and Casio Privia 88
lightly hammer-weighted size, nothing over 35 lbs. And the heights on
this stuff don't go much over 3.5-4.5" tops, plus any two will stack on
top of each other with cut dark wood braces/velcro. So since I've been
using the Onstage platforms, they're just the right size. I like the
concept of the WS550, and maybe will pick up a WS540, since there is a
bit of pushing and pulling hinged braces and adjusting set screws on
the Onstage platform which could be easier with a smaller version of
the WS550. Walter j
