Tony,
The WS550 is the stand you were using at Czar's this past Saturday, correct?

Yes for sure. The Onstage platform stands are the cat's pajamas, the
greatest. I almost don't use anything else and make cut 2x2 blocks
with velcro as stackers for a 2nd board, or velcro a shallow depth
rack module on.
Of course there's the usual "Gotta get a WS550." I wish I had two
WS550's so I could bury the one I bought and cover it up with the
other one. They're too darn big, thick, heavy for all but the biggest
keyboards like a chopped B3 or one of the heavier 88-key real hammer-
action pianos, really more useful as oversize PA cabinet stands. One
of the few purchases suggested on here I deeply regret. Try packing
it to ship when you just want to get rid of it - a giant 'T' shape? I
use the one I've got, since it's impossible to pack/sell, just for my
home studio to hold a couple of boards and a laptop - but it still
takes up too much room and I wish someone would come over and pick it
up and give me $75. I'd like to get ahold of Rick Moranis and do
a "Honey, I shrunk the WS550" to about 1/2 the square "tubing" size -
must be bigger than my wrist - and a shorter centerpiece, then it
might be useful.
Oh, did I say I liked the Onstage platform stands.. a lot! : ) Wj
