Bob was a blast to hang out with, I only wish we'd had more time to actually hang. He definitely got to see an interesting show last nite: Hello Dave sort of morphed into The Replacements about halfway through the gig; endless rounds of JaegerBombs were probably the cause, but you can never tell about these things. And seeing as I normally refrain from such activities, he got to see me be Lil Tommy Stinson!

You've never lived until you've polarized the audience into singing competing Round Robins of "Don't Stop Believing" with "Jessie's Girl", or "Ob-la-di, Ob-la-da" with "Band on the Run." But the capper was definitely my favorite: Sinatra's "My Way" being challenged by Cobain's "Come As You Are."

After leading the crowd through these maniacal "Tastes Great/Less Filling!" singalongs, I really have an understanding of Lead Singer Disease!!!!

!burp!

P.S. Did I mention I had a rough Sunday?

Took the 3 hour drive from Detroit to the west side of Michigan to
check out the two groups Tony is in and to meet him after all the
phone conversations we have had.
It was a true pleasure to meet him and his is a super gracious dude
who is real easy to talk with. Thanks Tony for hangin with me! I had
a blast and learned a ton.
His bands are awesome!
Gotta admit, I'm not the biggest Pink Floyd fan, I like them but I'm
not a super fan and most likely would not think to check out a
tribute band for them. But Pink Freud kicked serious butt! The whole
band was very tight and Tony's chops were flawless. He has all the
keyboard parts down perfect, and of course like all great players he
makes it look so easy!
His new rig (Muse, Doepfer, ect.) sounded real good. If you get a
chance to hear them I would recommend that you do.

And Hello Dave....WOW! What a great show they put on. Their lead
singer is really, really good. In fact the band does killer three
and four part vocal harmonies. Every singer in the band (Tony
included) is really a lead singer, as each one is better than the
majority in most bands I've seen playing the club circuits today.
It was a long drive but well worth it.
Check em out if they come to your town, you won't be dissapointed.
Keep rockin' Tony...nice job!
Bob
