Hi,

Although a little bit of a long shot, if a) the Pro 145 is bi-amped (I think it is), and there was a DC voltage coming out of the tweeter amp, this could already put 30-40W of power through the tweeter. Then add in the actual audio power, and you might be over the top.

Another possibility: How distorted do you like your sound? A Gimme Some Lovin' kind of tone alters the bass/treble balance of the audio WAY in favor of the treble. This could amount to more power than the tweeter can handle -- even if you're "not playing very loud."
