Subject:Re: Multi-Midi Solutions units go?

Hi Bruce,

I try to stay away from rackmount setups and instead find modules
that will fit an end of a keyboard or even on a stand like the VK8M
with PK5 tripod mount sitting at the left corner if it won't fit the
keyboard I'm using. The NE2 Rack will fit on top of a lot of
keyboards, like the Fantom and my Casio PX300 '88 or VK7-8 organs..
and these are pretty much what I swap around on to play. The NE2 '61
fits on top of a VK7 or VK8 with two smooth pieces of smooth, sized
and cut 2x2's painted dark primer, gaff tape on the wood of the organ
and velcro strips on both. The '61 hangs over only a bit but equal at
front and back, and over the organ controls there's plenty of room
for my fingers, so I can still press all the buttons and tweak
drawbars & reach for draw-LEDs and effects easily.

I like your idea of extra velcro strips on the Midi Solutions boxes
and bottom of the lower keyboard. I do need some shorter cables, been
working with 3' sections, Hosa stuff is good. Walter j
