Subject:Re: keystation pro88 destruction
Hello Josh,
I am not familiar with the Pro88, but I am fairly familiar with the
insides of midi controllers. I am currently building a B3 style organ
controller for my voce v5. Well, I have opened the Fatar SL-161 and
Fatar SL- 990 Pro (owned bothe) and discovered that they both used the
same connection cards. But I sold both the SL-161's on Ebay and got
two M-Audio Keystation 61's, because they have waterfall-like keys and
better action than the SL 161's for organ. So...I believe that you may
be able to connect two Keystations to your Pro 88 board fairly easy. I
am assuming that you will have to split the zones on the Pro 88
somehow to achieve the two keyboard setup, and the Pro 88 should
handle the key range two sets of 61 keys if it is setup anything like
the Keystation, because it has a wide range of octaves that are
covered.
So I would suggest getting a keystation 61 from Ebay and trying it
out. If it doesn't work, you can always resell.
