Subject:Linux software clonewheel

Hey everyone,

I don't know how many of you run Linux or are even familiar with open-source
applications, but if you are, I wanted to make you aware of this:

http://www.dsv.su.se/~fk/beatrix_home.html

I've been having some discussions with the developer, and he's a really
knowledgeable guy who has obviously put a lot of work into getting this
sounding good. I personally like the sound, and while it may not quite be on
par with the B4, it would be an excellent clonewheel for someone who a)knows
Linux and b)needs a clonewheel sound at a cheap (free) price.

Don't let the graphic at the top fool you, this program is totally text
based. If you are a Linux user and have an old laptop (minimum requirements
say P3 600 MHz), this might be the thing for you.

PS - for those of you who are familiar with Linux audio applications, this
program is not Jack-enabled yet, but the developer is currently working on
that. I think if we show him that there would be sufficient interest, he
might be willing to roll out that feature quickly.
