I was a QC inspector for Jensen Speakers .A very small metal sliver or magnet chip can make a speaker or driver "buzz" or sound "fuzzy". .They can be almost unseen.
You can pick them up sometimes with the sticky side of masking tape or blow them out with compressed aik

Well, so much for elation over the new 100 W FF driver in my 2101.

Yesterday, I noticed a fuzzy sound coming from the driver.  I've checked all parts etc and it's not a rattle vibration as if something were loose.  It's coming directly from the driver.  It's almost as if the new driver were blown or something of that nature.  ??????

I'm now wondering if there is something that allows the driver to sound but it may actually be blown or have a loose connection?

Back to the Hammon dealer?  I guess it either is or isn't blown.  One or the other.

Anyone else have this issue with a driver or the 2101 in particular?

Chuck
