Those prices are indeed encouraging. Thanks for the info. When the time
comes, I'll have a much more positive attitude going in. :-)
Good memory, Ben - yeah, I live in Chelmsford but, alas, all my gigging
takes place up around the Lakes Region in NH.

Hi Peter,

I seem to recall you were in MA? My apologies if I am wrong. I live
in Boston and we are lucky that it is a pretty good area for picking
up consoles at a reasonable price (usually less then a leslie!). If
you are patient and scan craigslist religiously you may luck out. In
the last 4 years I've purchased:
Nice A102 $700 (nr. Saugus MA)
C2 $400 (in JP, pretty beat up-- had seller discount price due to
lack of percussion/smooth drawbars)
A100 in need of cat-hair cleanup (in JP): $800
Leslie 47: $400 (springfield, scratched up top veneer)
Leslie 147: $250 (south of boston, I got lucky!)
Leslie 47: $400 (in NJ needed new bass driver)
