Great, informative posts on the Eon speakers! I've got a G2 and an
original Eon. After having them both in the shop this month I've
thought about other possibilities but I'll probably just save up for a
real rotating speaker.

The G2 can get louder, especially the bass. I liked the sound of the
original Eon better for the Yamaha P90 electric piano sounds. It also
has 4 band EQ, one area where the G2 was not an "improvement".

I unwittingly gave my G2 a "crash" test last night. I loaded up during
a thunderstiorm and left it too close to the back door. I opened the
back door of my van and it fell out onto my driveway. I plugged it in
and it worked just fine. I felt relieved but pretty dumb.
