Having used PA cabinets for a long time, I have one issue to raise that may or not be a factor. PA cabinets are designed to be a long-throw cabinet. Unless you have them facing you directly (and NOT at the soundman), you run the risk of forcing the soundman to reduce your level in the mix to compensate for your stage volume; while you might not be that loud on stage, you're louder out in the audience (because that's what PA cabinets are designed to do). If you don't run through the PA and you have someone checking the overall balance in the audience, probably not an issue; if you do go through the PA, you have set yourself up for a dilemma or two. And while a soundman can tell you until you're blue in the face, until you're letting someone else on your rig and can get out there to hear for yourself, it's hard to believe the phenomenon.

Short throw cabinets are a must when using a PA with a full band mix.

I have found this to be true. The Alesis Sumo needs the Behringer
KX1200 to fill out the bottom end. So did the KP-200S, but also
to add volume to help cut down the 200S's distortion.

I'll depart from this a bit, at least as it relates to
the older models. I had a KC-500 and it just sounded
weird on organ. Funny resonance in the mid range. Was
OK for piano and synth.

I hate to admit it (dunno why)...I have three of these amps
and they all work and sound great. I have other Behringer
stuff...compressor, two EuroDesk mixers, a rack mount
effects unit, rack mount mixer....and everything (knock on
wood) has given great service.....so far.

In the 70's I hadda Dual Showman that was modified by
"Sound City Music" in New Orleans. It had different
output tubes and two Altec 418-8H 15" speakers in the
cabinet. That puppy screamed!!!! Wish I still had it.
