I've had my XK-3 for about a year now. Absolutely no problems. You
might consider not replacing the XK-2 with the XK-3 but keeping the
XK-2 as a lower manual for the XK-3. The XK-2 can be the lower manual
(as a controller) complete with it's own set of drawbars.

Advantages are that both sets of the XK-3's drawbars can be used for
the upper manual (A# & B mode) and you still have a set for the lower
manual. The XK-2 can also send program changes for the lower manual
to the XK-3 so that the U/M is using the G preset (drawbars, effects
and Leslie setting) while the L/M is using the D preset's L/M drawbar
setting for example. The XK-2's output can be fed into the XK-3's
effects return as a separate sound for when C/V is desired on only
one manual (the same can be done with the overdrive). The XK-2's
output goes through the XK-3's effects and the volume is controlled
by the XK-3's expression pedal. Possiblities abound. I used an XM-1
like this for a while, it worked well.
