Thanks for the response. Could it be that the XK-3 inherently has some
noise (that a well shielded cable minimizes) because it includes a tube circuit?
I wonder about this because I am not sure my problem is solved. You see,
the cable that makes noise with the XK-3 does NOT make noise with the Nord.

About the bug you encountered: was it on XK3s right out of the box, or did it
develop after a few days or weeks of use?
