Of all the Jimmy Smith stuff I have, my favourite is a double CD called
"Jimmy Smith Trio - Live in Concert in Paris" or something like that. It
was recorded in 1965 and Jimmy was probably in his early 40's. It is Jimmy
Smith in his prime, recorded live, good sound quality, and he plays all his
most populars..... The Sermon, Blues for J, Organ Grinders Swing, etc. etc.
Just the trio, no hokey Oliver Nelson brass arangements, no bass players.
