Subject:Re: stage speaker placement
I take 2 amps not for volume, but for motion (whether for leslie or vibrato or just stereo seperation).
So it depends on the rig, and the stage. When there's room, one goes on a leslie (at ear level) and one anywhere to my immediate right or left, aimed at me (not the crowd) just so I can feel movement. Or if I'm using 2 leslies, or a leslie and a pair of 2101s, they'll be stacked side to side.
If things are really tight, and for some reason I'm not using a leslie, I'll stack them on top of each other; I still get motion that way, even if it's not exaggerated.

I recall many of you use two amps/speakers as part of your stage setup (even
when also sending a direct to the house). How do you place the speakers in
relationship to where you are seated?
