Subject:Re: MICRON-OT

I'm sure the Ion is great; unfortunately EVERY SINGLE ION I have encountered has been in the midst of a meltdown or malfunction. At present count, that is 14. I started keeping track when I was investigating analog modelers. Every Guitar Center I went to (there are 4 in my area), every Sam Ash, then every store outside Chicago I visited all had Ions, and all were not working.

That scared me.

How about an Ion instead of a Micron?

It just so happens that I have an Ion that has never been out of the
"studio" (house). I think of selling it, than I think how much fun it
is to play with (reminds me of the real analog stuff I had access to
in the 70s).

It is larger than the Micron and easier to mount on a stand.
