Chuck,

Almost right...

From the STATIONARY line out you get Bass that is not digitally rotated but
only at frequencies below 125 Hz.

From the ROTARY line out you get "hi bass, low mids" that are digitally
rotated at frequencies from 125 Hz to the crossover frequency.

The horn gets all frequencies above the frequency crossover.

I verified this by first using only the STATIONARY line out (the horn is
always on as it is directly connect to the master volume) through
my Barbetta 41C. It wasn't rotating but the sound had no punch. Then I added
the ROTARY line out and magically the hi bass and low
mids gave the punch back (albiet rotating).

Using the ROTARY line out by itself with the horn sounds like a Leslie (with
low-end lite). The STATIONARY line has to be used sparingly or your speaker
becomes a jumping bean :-)

If you connect to an external speaker you must have the ROTARY line out
connected to get the correct sound.
The STATIONARY line out is basically a sub woofer line out to enhance the
very low end. So, both are needed to
get the complete Leslie sound.

If you look at the recommended volumes on the external speaker in the manual
you will notice that input of the external amp that takes
the ROTARY line out is set higher that the input that takes the STATIONARY
line out (turn this one up and you got hip hop :-)
