Hi everyone,
I am an "average" carpenter, and I have built two 25-note MIDI pedalboards, and they both work very well. The total cost of a pedalboard when I build it myself is 170$ CAN. (Around 225 US). They look very much like Roland's pk-25, but they are really lightweight (about 25 pounds). I use a MIDI encoder that I buy from a guy in Bulgaria called Jordan D. Petkov. All common MIDI settings are settable and memorized. I don't have a website yet, as I am better for building pedalboards than websites, but if anyone needs help for building a pedalboard, or even for buying a custom pedalboard (who knows!) I will be happy to help.

The PK has a lot of metal and it functions well as a MIDI controller. You'll probably have your right foot on an expression pedal, so you can really only access an octave anyway.

I'm wanting a pedal board to play the bass parts like a real organ.
I was shocked to see the prices of the PK-25 and PK-7.
The 7 costs as much as the VK-8 itself, and the 25 is double that.
The PK-5 is around $400, and that's bad enough.
Does anyone know if the PK-5 will work satisfactorally with the VK-
8??
Does anyone have any suggestions as to another pedal board that
might work well and cost less?
I don't really need a bunch of fancy controlers, just something to
play the bass parts on.
