Subject:OT: Starship Redux (was: Eon 15 cabinet "spurs")

Both of you guys are right, to a degree. In reality, there are three different bands with three different names.
"Jefferson Starship" with Kantner and gang, "Starship" which had Grace Slick and Mickey Thomas (but no Kantner), and "Starship
featuring Mickey Thomas" with no original "Jefferson Airplane" or "Jefferson Starship" members, just Thomas who was only in the band
called "Starship". Kantner owns the name "Jefferson Starship", won't let anybody else use it, and after he left the remaining
members were legally forced to get a new name, so they cleverly dropped the 'Jefferson' part. Grace Slick owns the name "Starship",
and even though she hasn't been in that band for the longest time she allows (or just plain doesn't care) Mickey Thomas to use it.
Since Thomas didn't join the band until it had officially become "Starship", technically there are currently no crossover members
from "Jefferson Airplane"/"Jefferson Starship" into "Starship".
Now both of you sit down.
