Subject:OT Eon 15 cabinet "spurs"

I'm thinking about picking up another set of either the powered or
speaker only Eon 15's, but: The last set I had a couple of years ago
took a big bite out of my shins twice with those damn "monitor" tilt-
back spurs while moving a cabinet. These are sharp enough to send you
for first aid, dripping blood, like NOW. What I'd like to find out is
the best way to saw or otherwise remove the spurs - was even thinking
of getting a couple of cheap wedge-shaped soldering iron tools that I
could toss afterward and melting/burning them off = cough, wheeze,
etc. Any tips, suggestions will be greatly appreciated. TIA ~ Walter
