When I first got my XK2 I had in mind to build a custom hardwood stand with turned wood legs for a more authentic look. I would design it so the sides could fold in for easy transport. A shelf could be dropped into place and the XK could sit right on the shelf. Also envisioned a top "shelf" designed to look like the folded open lid of a B3. I could throw a piano controller or synth up there for functionality and added retro look. A friend who builds cabinets agreed to help with the construction but I'd have to provide the plans to work from as he has no time to help in the design phase. Well, that's as far as I got. I don't have any design or drafting ability. So, if you and your friend manage to get your project to fruition I'd be very interested in obtaining a copy of the plans. I would be happy to send a few dollars your way in exchange for a useable set of plans to work from. Who knows, there may be enough others interested in obtaining the plans to pay for your entire project.
