Subject:Re: Speakeasy Vintage Preamp ... Any Good???
I have two clones, a XK-3 and a V-Combo and I would not play either one without the Speakeasy preamp. Jezz, I won't practice without it!

My current clone is a Roland v-combo.
Does anyone have experienced using Speakeasy Preamps with a Roland
clone (or any other clones for that matter)? I'm wondering specifically
what kind of improvements to expect from using the Speakeasy. Is it a
Night and Day kind of change that takes you from a decent digital
simulation to Hammond nirvana, or will it be one of those, "it adds a
little tube warmth" change? It's a lot of money to spend just for the
latter. If all it does is warm up my signal there are plenty of cheaper
options.
All and any feedback is appreciated.
