Subject:RE: Crumar Toccata ?
I owned a Tocatta back in the late 70's. From what I can recall, it was
black, had a bunch of preset buttons of various footage combinations,
percussion choices and a two-speed Leslie simulation. I had a Farfisa Combo
organ previously and at the time, I considered the Tocatta one-step-closer
(albeit, a small one) to my ultimate goal... a Hammond. I enjoyed playing
it for the time I owned it and the leslie effect wasn't bad considering what
else was available at that time.
Enjoy! - Pete

Subject: [CWSG] Crumar Toccata ?
Anyone ever owned, played, or even heard one of these? I think it's a
late-70's Hammond clone with presets rather than drawbar controls, but
not totally sure. I have the chance to pick one up locally really
cheap and just curious.
At one time I owned a Crumar T-1 (maybe this was like the Toccata but
with drawbars, perhaps?)...anyway, it was constructed very poorly,
very heavy, but didn't sound half-bad at all through my original Voce
Spin Leslie simulator.
Thanks in advance for any info.!
