Hey Bob,
I've been using these great Audix mics. I use one or two D-3's on
the top and a D-4 on the bottom. These are desinged for high SPL and
are nice and small as they are frequently used as drum mics. The D-
3's are pretty flat response-wise and the D-4 is designed for low
frequency reproduction. Since they are small I use standard drum
clips and these will clip right on to the cabinet. (Don't need to carry
extra mic stands!) Never had a problem with extranneous cabinet
vibration. Plus they set up and break down in a snap. That's always a
plus.
