I used several different drivers in my 145. By far the two I like the best are ones made by Atlas and Peavey.

The Peavey RX22 can be purchsed from Parts Express http://www.partsexpress.com/ for about $100. If you need the adapter plate to go along with it you may want to purchase this driver as the "hot rod" kit that Speakeasy sells. http://www.speakeasyvintagemusic.com/
This driver is what I use in my own modified 145 and it's the one that comes with Speakeasy's Road Leslies. It is very well suited for live, rock and roll use and cuts thru the bands stage mix very well. When pushed hard it breaks up very nicely and produces a great gritty, distorted sound.

The Atlas P-90 is not as raw and gritty and sounds a lot more like the original Jensen driver. It has more of that mellow, sweet sound. There is a guy (Jimmy Skinner) who sells them on E-Bay with the needed adapter for $185. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7336123999&category=16219&rd=1 By the way the large plastic housing on the PD-90 can be removed so the driver is not so large. The plastice cover is made for outdoor useage to seal the unit from wet weather.

That's my two cents worth on the subject.
