i am a true nitwit.
I had a 512 ram stick and downloaded the file to that and loaded it
then into the motif. The sounds are pretty good. Not great but
doable in a single board pinch.
A lot of the most widely used drawbar configs are missing. Such as
888000000 with percussion and 888800000.
I don't see how you can put out a product like this and completely
miss the most popular DB settings used by almost all B3 players.
Go figure? And on top of that there are stacks of the same sounds
with only slightly varied sounds.
It's not a rip for 50.00 though. It will do fine for now. I most
likely will try their Kawai piano card in the near future as the es
pianos suck a big one when compared to the classic Motif pianos. No
comparison at all. They're not even close. Yamaha jumped the shark
on this one. They gave us a pile of small features and sliced the
most important thing that most keys players want and need. A great
sounding piano.
This may have signaled the end of my patience with Yamaha. Very Bad
documentation and now the piano sounds are gone.
What were they thinking?
