That is a Great Lick! TDN had a way of finding and emphasizing those
grooves. There are certain licks that stay in your mind, and that is one
of them. Great Organ part on that song too.

One of the things that Greenspoon mentions in his book is how proud he
was to get unusual sounds from the B3.. One that he mentions is on "Out
in the Country". He said that people kept asking him who played the
"flute solo" on the song. Hmmm. No wonder most people can't tell the
difference in sound between a real B3 and a VK7!

One song scared me a little. I have a right hand blues exercise I do
every
time I get to the keyboard-- just to get the blood flowing. I was
convinced
that I made it up myself back in the day. Its really silly, but this
exercise gets me focused on the Hammond-- like my Zen mantra. I was
shocked
to find out today that I had been playing TDN's song "Nobody" all these
years. I still don't remember that song, its lyrics, or learning it,
but
its "my" tune note for note. Anyone else have these musical mental
lapses,
or should I schedule an appointment with the white coats?

Dave Bishop
