Subject:Re: To Speak or not to Speak? TO SPEAK!

I think we hurt Walter's feelings. Please, no offence intended.. We are
all friends here. The great thing about this list is that we can all
pontificate away with our opinions. And that's all they are, opinions!

I have four B3's that I perform with, and every member of my band has a
different opinion of which sounds the best. Believe it or not, one
member thinks my XK3 / Speakeasy, and 2101 sounds better than the real
thing (although I think his hearing is way gone!).

The development of clones has improved so much over the years that it
does take a real discriminating ear to hear the difference. And in a
band mix, I doubt that the average listener can tell the difference
between my rig and a VK7. However, I can tell the difference, and I am
the final one to decide if I want to spend another $800 for a preamp
that will take that rig to another level. I really don't care what
anyone else thinks, if it's worth it to me, then I will spend the money.

There is no company line, only grateful customers who appreciate
well-crafted products and incredible customer service and follow-up.

Oh jeez, the guy mentions he's tired of all the Speakeasy hoopla and
what does he get? Sarcasm and nyaa nyaa for not toeing the company
line. Fooey.
