I rest my case as ... T seems to have restated my case for me almost ...

T says about Electro vs XK3 (through a Leslie):
1. Percussion not as meaty or thunky
2. Keyclick not as pronounced
3. C/V not as deep

I would add two more items:
4. The tone wheel generator is not as "sweet" or harmonically rich
as the XK3 (and my Hammond A101). The Electro is a bit dull
whereas both XK3 and my Hammond A101 breathe life in to a
tone.
5. NO PEDALS!

Also, I was not talking about "deal breakers", I also own and very
much like my Electro 2 73. But when I am playing it through one of
my Leslies I am never fooled into thinking it is a Hammond. It is a
great and colorful clone. When I am at my XK3 the authentic, true
Hammond sounds is there - no doubt about it.

So, when I am looking for inspiration I go first with my A101 or
if I am not using pedals or the upper octaves of the lower manual
I go with my XK3.
