Subject:Info on Barbetta Sona 31C vs 41C


Hi,
I'm new to the group (it was recommended to me by the folks at
Speakeasy when I purchased a preamp for my CX3) and am already
finding it very informative. I've seen some good comments on
Barbetta speakers but not much specifically about the model 31c. I
play out occasionally in NYC clubs(5 person rock band) so size and
easy portability is a big plus.My set up was CX3, Pro3T and 59 Fender
Bassman reissue (also double on rhythm guitar). I was disappointed
with the sound (on stage) and stopped using the Pro3T,opting to go
direct through the house PA and in-ear monitors.Problem is I would
like to really hear the organ sound the way it should on stage.I've
only used the Speakeasy at rehearsal but I think it's going to be a
definite help and in combination with the Barbetta monitor it might
be an answer. Besides the compactness of the 31c it leaves the option
of a second one for stereo at some point.If anyone has tried anything
similar or compared the 31c to the 41c I would love to hear about
it.Thanks.
