Athough the motors were the same on the 122 and 147 series Leslies, the 122 AMP itself is said to cause a slower speed change, not sure if it is acerllation or decelleration or both. In fact, Bob Schleicher advertises that his solid state relay replacement causes a 122 Leslie to have speed changes more like a 147.
And, I believe that the "Decorator Furniture Versions," namely the 222, may have had the lower motor reversed so that the upper and lower rotors moved in the same direction, which many people then want to modify!
